The Gloucestershire Environmental Trust provides grants from funds generated by the Landfill Communities Fund for the benefit of Gloucestershire, its people and its environment.
The Trust is funded under the scheme by Cory Environmental (Gloucestershire) Ltd, which owns and manages the waste management operations in Gloucester, Cheltenham and Cirencester.

The Trust's objectives
• The maintenance and repair of public amenities in the vicinity of landfill sites for the benefit of the inhabitants of Gloucestershire.
• The provision of open spaces in the vicinity of landfill sites for the recreation and other leisure-time occupation of the public.
• The conservation, protection and improvement of the physical and natural environment in Gloucestershire.
• The restoration, preservation and repair of buildings of historical importance or architectural value in the vicinity of landfill sites. |
