At present, the Gloucestershire Environmental Trust has approximately £500,000 per annum to invest into deserving schemes from around the county.
Applications for grant funding from the Trust must come from non-profit organisations. Only one application per organisation will be considered in any one year.
All applications must be registered and approved by ENTRUST, the regulatory body set up by the Government to oversee the operation of the Landfill Communities Fund.
More information on ENTRUST is available at www.entrust.org.uk and in the FAQs section of this website.
The Trust is able to fund projects that fall within one of the following categories:
• Remediation of contaminated land
• Prevention of pollution
• Community improvement schemes
• Restoration of the built environment, including historic or religious buildings
• Facilitating work with species and habitats through biodiversity conservation |
|
The Trust will NOT offer grants towards:
• Core funding (i.e. costs that are not directly attributable to the application) although a reasonable amount towards administrative cost of grant-aided projects will be acceptable.
• Routine maintenance (although they will consider payment towards the costs of remedial work arising from historic failure to carry out routine maintenance, providing good reasons are offered.
• Head office management fees, whether costs arise in Gloucestershire or elsewhere.
Organisations considering applying to Gloucestershire Environmental Trust for funding may also be seeking sources of match funding. Information on potential sources of match funding can be found on the Association of Charitable Foundations website at www.acf.org.uk
